Call for Dancers

Winnipeg’s Contemporary Dancers is thrilled to welcome Canadian icon Margie Gillis to set The Whole Bloomin Thing on WCD.

WCD invites female-identifying, Winnipeg-based contemporary dancers with professional experience to submit for consideration. This is a paid project with six roles available and spans auditions, rehearsals, and performances across 2026.

Artists selected will work closely with Margie Gillis on this exceptional legacy project, created in response to the overwhelming success of Old, presented by WCD in February 2025.

Auditions will take place February 9–10, 2026, with rehearsals and performances scheduled in spring, fall, and November 2026. Performances run November 19–22, 2026.

Submissions are due January 15, 2026 at 4:00pm and submitted through this google form. Selected dancers will be invited to audition by January 30, 2026.

This project is supported by a Community Grant from The Winnipeg Foundation, and all dancers will be paid in accordance with CADA West recommendations
