The Chorus Line, created on WCD company dancers April 2009
Using the body as a primary communicative tool, this work deals with the theme of objectification. By drawing the eye to various body parts, layering normally innocuous movement and sound and bending it in a certain direction, the work leads the viewer to fetishize a whole, which, if disassembled or bent in another direction, has no inherent eroticism.
