Who we are looking for: WCD is looking for individuals who have a strong commitment to fulfill WCD’s mission to create a place on the local, national and international arts landscape that enables vital intersections, linkages and exchange among dance creators, dance interpreters, spectators and communities.
There are positions open for leaders with financial and/or fundraising skills, experience and interest. Ideally, these individuals will have proven leadership and board experience, strong organizational or subject matter expertise, strategic foresight and wish to be considered for election to the WCD Board of Directors. The WCD Board is also open to considering board members with related education who may be looking to enhance their professional experience through a volunteer role such as this.
What is involved: For Board Members, the time commitment is approximately four to six hours each month. Board meetings are held in-person 10 (ten) times per year and there are ad hoc meetings via teleconference as needed. Board Members are expected to also attend in-person the Planning/Review day and the Annual General meeting at the Rachel Browne Theatre. These are volunteer positions with no financial compensation.
How to apply: To apply, please send your information to email@example.com. Please include your resume and a statement as to why you are interested in joining the Board of WCD. Applicants will be considered to join within our current year. We thank all in advance for your interest in serving on the WCD Board of Directors.
